The space of Emergence studio
During my erasmus at UDK, Berlin I participated to the studio of Markus Bader and Anna Kokalanova called «Spaces of emergence», in close collaboration with the Berlin / Madrid based office Zuloark.
How do we work ?
During this semester we mainly worked as groups which allowed us to get out of the classical school class scheme. After many sequences of big and micro scale production exercises and drawings, we started the human scale production. The period of paper work ended on two weeks workshop in the Haus der Statistik. Each group had to take care of a space. I was able to work in the kitchen group. We started to clean up the garden, built a terrasse, and finally the main structure of what could be a kitchen-bar to cook. This one has been then improved and enlarged for the two weeks of the making future school to welcome differents cheffes. For the days of public opening at UDK, the rundgang, we also design all together the set up of a room that would show the archives of our work.

The book
At the end of the studio I designed the yearly booklet gathering the work of each individual as a group. For the cover I took a print that I already designed earlier in the year for a workshop with Zuloark and Raumlabor. The structure of the book allow a clear lecture of the differents sequences of the studio. It’s separate in exercices with a presentation of it and then picture of the different results.
